47 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 5, 1981 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Trevino, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk <br />Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />April 21, 1981 <br />N Warrants <br />(y) 41754, 42007 through 42255 <br />7 17547 through 17711 <br />Q April 30, 1981, Inclusive <br />Q Legislation <br />Letter from Grand Terrace on Merger of Office of County Clerk with that of <br />Superior Court. Matter is moot, Board of Supervisors has taken final action. <br />Contract <br />Maintenance relating to Police Teletype Computer System. Removed from Consent <br />Calendar. <br />Bids <br />Request authorization to advertise for Transformers, Electric Department <br />and Award of Bid for Pickup Trucks, Community Services. <br />Authorize the Calling for Bids for a new Water Well, and review Hydrogeo- <br />logical Report by consultant. <br />Review Proposal to rebid the Reche Canyon Booster Pumping Station and Authorize <br />the calling for bids on the Pumping Station and Connection Pipelines. <br />Permits <br />Dance Permit for Realty Workd Regional Headquarters, June 26, 1981, 4:30 p. m. <br />to 12:00 midnight. Approved by Cheif of Police, April 21, 1981. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4106 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />SUPPORTING A GAS TAX INCREASE TO ADDRESS THE CRITICAL <br />NEED FOR THE CITY STREETS & ROADS. <br />Claims <br />Howard Panek vs City of Colton, denial recommended and Maryland Insurance <br />for Anderson vs City of Colton, denial recommended on late claim filing. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar with the removal of Item 4. Contract, Police Teletype Computer. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />Contract <br />Police Teletype Computer <br />Councilwoman Garcia requested that this time be postponed until the next regular <br />Council meeting in order to secure additional background information for the <br />purpose of obtaining average breakdown time. Councilwoman Garcia stated in her <br />opinion you could not determine an average cost for maintenance without knowing <br />the average down time on the CRT machine. <br />On Council consensus the matter was held over to the next regular meeting. <br />MAY 5 1981 <br />
