Nunes also stated there have been many ideas discussed for locations for new <br />fire stations, one of those being possibly at the intersection of the extension of <br />M Street and Fogg Street. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone had additional comments to make. Moved by Council- <br />woman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to terminate the Public Hearing. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, that meetings be set up <br />in each section of the City in order to answer the public's questions and concerns. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to set for Public Hearing <br />on Tuesday, January 19, 1982, consideration of the General Plan for the City of <br />Colton. Unanimous vote. <br />The City Council took a five minute recess. <br />Zoning <br />P. C. Res. No. 1004 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported on a request for a change of zone from Lynn Moon, <br />et al, on property located at 12475 Iowa Avenue, from M-1, Light Manufacturing, to <br />C-2, General Commercial, on approximately three acres of land which is predominantly <br />vacant. <br />Mr. Aguilera continued that the project is consistent with the General Plan desig- <br />nations for the area, is compatible with surrounding zoning and uses, and the De- <br />velopment Review Committee has found that the project will not have an adverse ef- <br />fect on the environment. <br />Mr. Aguilera said the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the zone change <br />request, October 13, 1981, and recommended approval as outlined in Planning Commis- <br />sion Resolution No. 1004. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak in favor of or in opposition to <br />the proposed change of zone. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, the public hearing <br />was terminated. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to waive full reading <br />and pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 1610. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1610 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1602, <br />First Reading AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Zoning <br />P. C. Res. No. 1007 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported on certain amendments to sections of the City's <br />Zoning Ordinance, as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 1007, which was <br />approved by the Planning Commission at a public hearing held October 27, 1981. <br />Mr. Aguilera stated if Council concurs, it would be in order to pass First Reading <br />of Ordinance No. 1611, approving the amendments as outlined. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to waive full reading <br />and pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 1611. Unanimous vote. <br />N uV 1981 <br />
