The City Council took a five minute recess. Zoning P. C. Res. No. 1004 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Planning Director Aguilera reported on a request for a change of zone from Lynn Moon, et al, on property located at 12475 Iowa Avenue, from M-1, Light Manufacturing, to C-2, General Commercial, on approximately three acres of land which is predominantly vacant. Mr. Aguilera continued that the project is consistent with the General Plan desig- nations for the area, is compatible with surrounding zoning and uses, and the De- velopment Review Committee has found that the project will not have an adverse ef- fect on the environment. Mr. Aguilera said the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the zone change request, October 13, 1981, and recommended approval as outlined in Planning Commis- sion Resolution No. 1004. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak in favor of or in opposition to the proposed change of zone.
