City of Colton <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 22, 1981 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of <br />the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p.m., <br />in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />Rnl I CAI I <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Gonzales. Also <br />present were City Manager Trevino, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />Absent was Councilwoman Garcia due to illness. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />October 6, 1981 <br />Warrants <br />12169 through 12427 <br />101436 through 101634 <br />October 16, 1981 inclusive <br />Resolution No. 4151 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON SETTING A HEARING <br />DATE FOR ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE REPORTS OF THE SUPERINTENDENT <br />OF STREETS (Chapter 27 District Number 81-23) <br />Water Well No. 21 <br />Accept Project as 100% complete, approve Change Order No. 2 and authorize <br />filing of Notice of Completion <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Counsilwoman Cisneros, to approve the <br />Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamation <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring and official welcoming to <br />Petra Hedborg from Brussels, Belgium and extending recognition of USA/Domestic <br />returnees, Lilly O'Neal and Valeria Aranda through the American Field Service <br />Program. The Proclamation was accepted by Petra Hedborg. <br />Mayor Gonzales reported the American Field Service Program Chairman has extended <br />an invitation to the City Council and audience to refreshments as a community _ <br />reception following the City Council Meeting. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS CONT: <br />Resolution of Commendation <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a REsolution of Commendation, honoring City Clerk <br />Helen Ramos for her presentation to the City Clerks Department of the League <br />of California Cities at the annual conference held in San Francisco. Mayor <br />Gonzales stated Mrs. Ramos' presentation on Implementing A Word Processing <br />System was well received and acclaimed as excellent. <br />Mrs. Ramos accepted the Proclamation and reported that the Council had surprized <br />her as she was unaware this proclamation had been prepared. <br />;SVT 2 2 1981 <br />
