That Council authorize the initiation of a Street Vacation proceeding <br />for the remaining unused portion of the Bordwell Avenue right-of-way. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve the two <br />fold solution recommended by Staff. Unanimous vote. <br />Personnel <br />Building & Safety <br />City Manager Trevino reported on a report from Building & Safety Director, John <br />Twiss, in which Mr. Twiss proposes that the position of Building Inspector/ <br />Maintenance Coordinator be abolished and that an additional position of Building <br />Inspector be established. <br />Mr. Trevino reported that no added expense is involved as the occupant of the <br />abolished position will be transferred to the newly created position. <br />Councilman Hayes asked if this matter had been discussed with the Employee <br />Association. <br />City Manager Trevino responded that it had not, however, he did not foresee a <br />problem. <br />101 <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the recom- <br />mendation of staff to abolish the position of Building Inspector/Maintenance <br />Coordinator and to establish an additional position of Building Inspector. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />Personnel/Litigation <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 7:53 p.m. on matters dealing with <br />personnel and possible litigation. <br />The Council reconvened at 8:27 p.m., all members present. <br />Resolution No. 4145 <br />City Attorney Edwards reported the City Council in Closed Session approved <br />Resolution No. 4145, on a vote of three with oneabstention. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4145 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE PROVISION OF LEGAL DEFENSE. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />On motion of Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, and unanimously <br />passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:29 p.m. <br />H LEN A.
