Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1602 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON ESTABLISHING A COMPREHENSIVE <br />Second Reading—T—PLAN FOR ZONING AND LAND USE. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 8:10 p. m., to discuss matters of <br />possible Litigation, and reconvened at 8:35 p. m., all Members present. <br />Legal <br />City Attorney Edwards advised that the City Council has directed that the law firm <br />of Best, Best & Krieger represent all defendants of the City is the law suit filed <br />by Raymond Lopez. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, <br />Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:36 p. m. <br />�a. xe - � <br />HELEN A. RAMOS, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />City of Colton <br />Approved this 7th day of July, 1981. <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 23, 1981 <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 650 North La Cadena <br />Drive, Colton, California, at 5:30 p. m., Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />Notice of Special Meeting was given on June 19, 1981, in compliance with Govern- <br />ment Code Section 54956. <br />Ill t iw <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Trevino, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk <br />Ramos. <br />Library <br />City Manager Trevino referred to a report on summary of proposals for the lease - <br />leaseback construction of the proposed Library building for the City of Colton, <br />stating that he and John Brown, of Best, Best & Krieger, have been working dili- <br />gently and analyzing the proposals submitted, and they have now determined that <br />Chuck King & Associates appear to be the best qualified firm with the most favor- <br />able proposal based on a fixed interest rate of 10 percent and a term fixed for <br />10 years, no prepayment penalty, and also included are landscaping and public im- <br />provements. <br />Mr. Trevino concluded Staff recommends the City Council direct the City Manager and <br />John Brown to meet with Chuck King and Associates to develop a lease -leaseback agree- <br />ment and go back to the Council at the earliest date for a full presentation by Chuck <br />King and Associates, preferably at the Council Meeting scheduled for July 21, 1981. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, approving Staff's recommenda- <br />tion with regard to proposal and lease -leaseback construction of proposed Library <br />building for the City of Colton. <br />Councilman Rehrer expressed concern about getting involved in an agreement before the <br />City Council has seen or reviewed the actual agreement to see what it states, or be- <br />fore any plans or drawings have been submitted for consideration. <br />JUN 2 3 1981 <br />
