<br />Mayor Gonzales stated that because of a communication problem regarding the bids
<br />for the 1982 Weed Abatement Program, it was being recommended that all bids be
<br />rejected and that Staff readvertise for bids.
<br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests
<br />or objections had been received.
<br />Planning Director Jaime Aguilera reported this matter concerns the prezoning of an
<br />area commonly known as the Agua Mansa Cemetery area of M-2, Heavy Manufacturing,
<br />which is presently within the City of Rialto, and is going through the final steps
<br />of annexation to the City of Colton by the Local Agency Formation Commission. Mr.
<br />Aguilera stated the proposed zone of M-2 would conform with the surrounding zoning
<br />in the area. Mr. Aguilera also advised that a completion notice has been received
<br />from the L.A.F.C. on this annexation.
<br />Mr. Aguilera concluded that Staff recommends approval of this zoning and First Read-
<br />ing of Ordinance No. 1622.
<br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak in favor of or in opposition
<br />to this matter.

<br />and pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 1622. Unanimous vote.

<br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no objec-

<br />Mr. Ben Urquiza, City Engineer, advised that all of the notices have been mailed out
<br />to the affected property owners in accordance with the Weed Abatement Law, Chapter 13,
<br />Title 4, Division 3 of the Government Code, and if there are no objections or pro-
<br />tests made this evening, Staff would recommend approval of Resolution No. 4192.
<br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes,
<br />to reject all bids, and
<br />readvertise for bids on the 1982 Weed Abatement Program.
<br />Unanimous vote.
<br />City Attorney Edwards advised that the City did not have
<br />to use the form of news-
<br />papers for readvertising, the notice could be posted, if
<br />that was what the Council
<br />desired.
<br />On Council consensus, the form of Posting the Notice Inviting
<br />Bids was approved.
