Planning Director Aguilera stated the proposed annexation which is not before the <br />Council this evening, would be beneficial to the City when in the future Laure12 67 <br />Street is extended and made a through street, the City would then be dealing <br />within its own boundary. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer to close the public <br />hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve first <br />reading of Ordinance No. 1630. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1630 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1602, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE <br />RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Amendment Index No. TA -2-82 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported no written <br />protests had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported the Cooley Ranch area has developed with <br />similar and aesthetically pleasing architectural design up to this time without <br />regulated architectural design, however, the City is presently powerless to deny <br />N construction of buildings which do not conform to the existing quality. <br />(y) Mr. Aguilera stated Planning Commission has reviewed this matter and recommends <br />that authority to review and approve architectural standards for the Cooley <br />Q Ranch area should be given to the Development Review Committee in order to prevent <br />Q deterioration of the area. <br />Planning Director Aguilera recommended first reading of Ordinance No. 1631 <br />with second reading scheduled for December 21, 1982. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if there was anyone in the audience wishing to speak on this <br />matter. No one responded. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to close the public <br />hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve first reading <br />of Ordinance No. 1631. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1631 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1602, AND CHAPTER 18 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />ESTABLISHING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR ZONING AND LAND USE. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Closed Session <br />City Manager Elliott called for a Closed Session to discuss personnel matters. <br />The Council convened to Close Session at 7:54 p.m. and reconvened at 9:01 p.m. <br />with all members present. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4261. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4261 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />TO DETERMINE THE DISABILITY FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES <br />FOR A LOCAL SAFETY MEMBER. <br />VA111I1111:I1IZdW <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros and unanimously <br />passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 9:02 p.m. <br />HELEN A.
