PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />2 5 S Federally Funded Projects <br />Community Development Block Grant Funds <br />Mr. Aguilera reported to the Council Members that in a recent letter from the San <br />Bernardino County Office of Community Development, the City was requested to com- <br />plete the remaining Office of Community Development projects in a timely manner, <br />with June 30, 1983, as a deadline. <br />Mr. Aguilera continued the Community Development Coordinator has indicated the <br />approximate amount of funds that remain in the Street Improvements Project is <br />$30,400.40, and Staff has provided a list of recommended projects that would <br />utilize the remaining funds. Mr. Aguilera said with about $160,000 remaining in <br />the Water Improvements Project account, it is felt that any additional funds that <br />may be necessary to complete the Fire Station could be transferred from this amount <br />and still have enough remaining funds to complete the already approved Water Projects <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded Staff recommends the City Council approve the proposed Street <br />Improvement Projects and if Council concurs, Staff can proceed with the implementa- <br />tion of the projects. <br />Mr. Aguilera then referred to a display map outlining the areas of the proposed <br />street improvement projects. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Staff's <br />recommendation with regard to the proposed Street Improvements Projects as outlined. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />City Manager Elliott stated the only item he had this evening was a request for <br />Closed Session to discuss Personnel Matters. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />City Attorney Edwards advised that the next regular City Council Meeting, which would <br />be held Tuesday, October 19, 1982, falls within the time of the League of California <br />Cities Conference and inasmuch as three of the Council Members will be attending this, <br />Conference, the Council may wish to adjourn that meeting. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to adjourn the Council Meet• <br />ing of Tuesday, October 19, 1982, due to lack of a quorum. Unanimous vote. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. Frank Smith, 270 West "F" Street, thanked the Council Members for including in <br />the street improvement projects the area he had recommended previously. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 8:08 p. m., to discuss Personnel <br />Matters, and reconvened at 8:37 p. m., all Members present. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios and unanimously passed, <br />Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 8:38 p. m. <br />HELEN A.
