312
RESOLUTION NO. 4315 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLTON FOR SETTING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PRI-
VATE HAULERS FRANCHISE FEE.
RESOLUTION NO. 4316 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLTON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3610, AMENDING
SCHEDULE FOR REFUSE COLLECTION RATES.
Bids
Refuse Division
Mr. McGee reported from his memorandum dated April 14, 1983, regard-
ing authorization to advertise for Bids for three Refuse trucks, two
side loaders, and one front loader, with two alternatives for pur-
chase; 1) direct purchase, and 2) a five year closed-end lease.
Mr. McGee stated in light of the condition of the existing equipment,
it is impractical to wait until the beginning of the fiscal year to
advertise, and the preliminary Refuse Budget includes funds for the
first year's lease of three vehicles.
Mr. McGee concluded Staff recommends Council's approval of advertis-
for Bids for three Refuse Trucks, waiving bid security, so that undue
delay in acquisition of these trucks can be avoided.
Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, authorizing
and approving advertising for Bids for three Refuse Trucks and waiv-
ing bid security, as outlined by Staff. Unanimous vote.
Agreements
Mr. McGee again requested authorization and approval to enter into
an Agreement with James M. Montgomery Corporation, Consulting Engi-
neers, for the design of a new telemetry system for the City's water
system, for a fee not to exceed $38,400. Funds have been allocated
in lecount 1121-9926-89 for design and installation of the system. _
After discussion, moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Council-
man Rehrer, to approve Staff's recommendation as outlined for new
Telemetry System for City's water system. Unanimous vote.
CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
Sewer Connections
Ord. No. 1638
City Attorney Edwards presented Ordinance No. 1638 for Second Read-
ing, reading it as to number and title only:
ORDINANCE NO. 1638 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON TERMINAT-
ING PROCEDURES FOR ALLOCATION OF INTERIM SEWER
CONNECTIONS AVAILABLE PURSUANT TO COURT ORDER.
Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to pass
Second Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 1638. Unanimous vote.
ADJOURNMENT:
Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios and unan-
imously passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 8:50 P. m.
JANE M.
