Project No. 1, City Project <br />No. 83-8, as 100% complete and authorize filing Notice of <br />Completion. <br />Planning Cases <br />General Plan Amendment, Index No. G-3-83, set for Public Hear- <br />ing on Tuesday, August 16, 1983• <br />D <br />Q Claims <br />Q Richard Gullon; Gillis and Eileen Labbee, versus the City of <br />Colton. Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to <br />approve the Consent Calendar, deleting Item Nos. 6, 7 and 8. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring August 7 through <br />13, 1983, as Municipal Treasurer's Week, and presented it to Margaret <br />Berkebile, City Treasurer. <br />City Clerk Ramos also presented Mrs. Berkebile with a white orchid <br />from the Bank of America. <br />Councilman Rios read in full a Proclamation honoring the 1984 Little <br />League Baseball World Series, which was accepted by Mr. Tom Boyle. <br />Mr. Boyle encouraged the Council Members and those present to attend <br />the Little League Playoff games, advising that the Colton Ken Hubbs <br />Little League is still ahead. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Mayor Huntoon referred to a letter from San Salvador Catholic Church <br />requesting use of the Hutton Community Center for Parish Renewals on <br />various weekends starting September, 1983, and continuing through <br />June, 1984. <br />City Manager Elliott stated this is a continuation of a previous <br />request from the Church, there are no problems with scheduling, and <br />Staff recommends approval of the request. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve <br />request from San Salvador Catholic Church for use of the Hutton Com- <br />munity Center for Parish Renewals on the dates outlined. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Zoning <br />City Manager Elliott reported on Item Nos. 6, 7 and 8, which con- <br />sisted of Zone Change requests to be set for Public Hearing on <br />Tuesday, August 16, 1983• Mr. Elliott advised that the properties <br />in question are owned by Nick Coussoulis and Martin Matich, and <br />are located primarily in the Reche Canyon area. Mr. Elliott gave <br />a brief description of the properties and boundaries. <br />AUG 1983 <br />
