Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Resolutions <br />V I'iam "Bill" Clinton - Retirement. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated that a Resolution of Congratulations honoring <br />William "Bill" Clinton, Registrar of Voters, on his retirement has <br />been prepared and will be presented to him at an honorary luncheon <br />to be held Wednesday, March 9, 1983• <br />Proclamations <br />Girl cou Week <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of <br />March 6 through 12, 1983, as Girl Scout Week. <br />Women's History Week <br />iv Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of <br />(� March 6 through 12, 1983, as Women's History Week. The Proclama- <br />tion was accepted by Martine Hornburg, Librarian, and Chairperson <br />of the Women's History Committee of the Women's Club. <br />Q Museum Advisory Board <br />Mayor Huntoon stated with the completion of the new Library, it is <br />now planned to turn the old Library into a Museum and, therefore, <br />he would like to establish a Museum Advisory Board. Mayor Huntoon <br />said that several people have indicated an interest in serving on <br />this Board, and if any of the Council Members are so interested, <br />please let him know. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros stated she would like to know the names of <br />the people that have indicated their interest in serving on the <br />proposed Board. <br />Mayor Huntoon advised that the following persons have indicated <br />their interest in the Museum Advisory Board: Bea Hernandez, Don <br />Hines, Pauline Huntoon, Hazel Olson, and Evelyn Rehrer. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Planning Cases <br />P. C. Res. No. 1050 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and re- <br />ported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported that the applicant, David <br />Dvorak requested, by Text Amendment Index No. T-1-82, to reduce <br />the number of parking spaces required per dwelling unit for <br />multiple -family units. Mr. Aguilera advised that a study con- <br />ducted by Staff indicated that Colton's requirement, of two -and <br />one-half spaces per unit, was greater than those required by sur- <br />rounding cities. <br />Mr. Aguilera stated after hearing testimony from the applicant and <br />Staff, the Planning Commission voted to recommend to the City <br />Council that a reduction of 10 percent of the parking spaces could <br />be allowed by the City's Development Review Committee. <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded if the City Council concurs with the Plann- <br />ing Commission, and Resolution No. 1050, it would be in order to <br />consider First Reading of Ordinance No. 1635. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak in favor of <br />or in opposition to this matter. <br />
