384 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 18, 1983 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held <br />on the above given date at 7:30 P. m., in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall, Acting Mayor Pro Tem Rehrer presiding. <br />Acting Mayor Pro Tem Rehrer led the group in the Pledge of Allegi- <br />ance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Acting Mayor Pro Tem Rehrer. Mr. Rehrer <br />asked that everyone observe a moment of silent prayer in memory of <br />Mr. Jack Matich, who passed away last Monday. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Rios, Garcia, and Acting Mayor Pro Ten <br />Rehrer. Also present were City Manager Elliott, City Attorney <br />Edwards, and Deputy City Clerk Veralrud. Absent was Mayor Huntoon, <br />Councilwoman Cisneros, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />September 20, 22, 1983. <br />Warrants <br />30876 through 31139, 31159 through 31413 <br />110955 through 111210, 111211 through 111362 <br />October 13, 1983, inclusive. <br />Bids <br />Award of Bid to GMC Truck & Coach, $9,279.24, pickup truck <br />for Electric Department. <br />Agreements <br />Amendment to Agreement with Dotson, O'Bryant & Crawford, to <br />provide engineering services for the 1982-83 Community De- <br />velopment Block Grant Sewer Improvements, Colton Project. <br />Agreements <br />Award of Signal Maintenance Contract to Computer Services <br />Division Company. <br />Bids <br />Authorization to call for Open Bids for 1984 Open End Con- <br />tracts for Asphalt Concrete and Portland Cement Concrete. <br />Permit Files <br />Request for Temporary Encroachment Permit for Fredricks De- <br />velopment Corporation. <br />Claims <br />Benny Ruff versus City of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. --- <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamations <br />Acting Mayor Pro Tem Rehrer read in full a Proclamation declaring <br />October 17 through 23, 1983, as NATIONAL BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL <br />WOMEN'S CLUB WEEK. The Proclamation was accepted by Mrs. Lola <br />Kehoe. <br />Acting Mayor Pro Tem Rehrer read in full a Proclamation declaring <br />October 23 through 29, 1983, as AMERICAN ENERGY AWARENESS WEEK.
