N D Q Q 374 COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 20, 1983 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 P. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. ROT.T. CAT.T., Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present were City Manager Elliott, City At- torney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. CONSENT CALENDAR: Minutes September 6, 1983 Warrants 30�i11, 30621 through 30873 110785 through 110954 September 15, 1983, inclusive Personnel Set Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 18, 1983, to amend Personnel Rules & Regulations, Resolution No. 2240. Bids Award of Bid to General Electric Supply Company (GESCO), $71,903.93, for Streetlight Fixtures. Bids Award of Bid to McGraw -Edison Cc., $8,818.14, for Transformers. Transfer of Funds Building & Safety Department, $3,900, Vehicle Operating Expense, RESOLUTION NO. 4371. Tract Files Approval of Tract Nos. 11370, 11372, 11373, and 11190. Claims Denial of Phyllis Vidaurri vs City of Colton. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to ap- prove Consent Calendar, with the exception of Item #8, Sales Tax Sharing, referred to the City Attorney. Unanimous vote. MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: Proclamations Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of October 3 through 25, 1983, as Productivity Improvement Week. Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring the month of October, 1983, as Communications Month. Resolutions Mayor Huntoon reported the Council has a Resolution of Commendation for Mr. Nat Alvarez and asked Fire Chief Ron Gemmell to read and present the Resolution. Chief Gemmell commended Chief Nat Alvarez, retiring from the Central Valley Fire Protection District, for his outstanding contributions to SEP - 01983
