Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />PTIRT.TC NRARTNC9- <br />Personnel <br />Res. No. 4498 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer Elliott submitted the Affidavit of Posting and re- <br />ported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Elliott reported the public hearing this evening is to consider <br />amending the City's Pay and Classification Plan for the newly created <br />position of Chief Building Inspector, which was approved in the De- <br />partment of Building and Safety's Budget for 1984-85, at a Salary <br />Range of 20. Mr. Elliott referred to the job description for this <br />position, outlining the duties, qualifications, etc. <br />Mr. Elliott concluded if Council concurs, it would be in order to ap- <br />prove the job description and Resolution No. 4498, amending the City's <br />Pay and Classification Plan. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to terminate <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Councilman Rios then questioned the job description for the new posi- <br />tion with regard to the "minimum qualifications", education, etc., <br />stating he felt this should be upgraded for this type of position. <br />AUG 7 1984 <br />
