478 <br />City Attorney Edwards presented RESOLUTION NO. 4499 for Council's <br />consideration and approval, relating to the termination of annexation <br />proceedings for Colton Annexation West 34, and also the prezoning for <br />that same area. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to ap- <br />prove RESOLUTION NO. 4499. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4499 - <br />Ordinance No. 1665 <br />Second Reading <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON FINDING THAT OVER FIFTY PERCENT OF <br />THE VOTERS PROTESTED AND TERMINATING ANNEXATION <br />WEST 34 (LAFC NO. 1919) AND THE PREZONING IN- <br />CIDENTAL THERETO. <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1665 for second read- <br />ing, reading it as to number and title only, advising that this ordi- <br />nance pertains to the moving of buildings and oversized loads. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to waive <br />full reading, pass Second Reading and adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1665. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1665 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 965, AN <br />(Second Reading) ORDINANCE REGULATING THE MOVING OF BUILDINGS <br />AND OVERSIZED LOADS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1002. <br />Resolution No. 4500 <br />City Attorney Edwards presented Resolution No. 4500 for Council's con- <br />sideration and approval pertaining to Phillip D. Elliott and police <br />duties. <br />Councilwoman Garcia requested that the resolution be read in full, <br />which was done by City Attorney Edwards. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4500. Upon Roll Call, the Vote was: <br />AYES: Three; Rios, Rehrer, Huntoon. <br />NOES: One; Garcia <br />ABSENT: One; Cisneros. <br />Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4500 - <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Recreation <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON DESIGNATING PHILLIP D. ELLIOTT AS A LOCAL <br />POLICEMAN ENGAGED IN ACTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />SERVICE, ASSIGNING DUTIES TO HIM AND MAKING <br />RELATED FINDINGS. <br />Councilman Rios stated he would like to commend and thank both Max --. <br />Lofy, Recreation Director, and City Manager Elliott for their co- <br />operEtion and assistance on many occassions for various recreational <br />programs and activities. <br />Refuse <br />Councilman Rehrer requested that another questionnaire be mailed out <br />to the residents, along with their utility billings, regarding a <br />possible increase in refuse rates and twice a week pickup. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated he understands that the Utility Commission is in <br />the process of discussing this matter, and possibly the City Council <br />should wait for their recommendations before taking any action. <br />AUG 719 <br />
