408 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 3, 1984 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 7:30 P. m., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />Mayor Huntoon extended a wish for a very Happy New Year to everyone. <br />Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor <br />Huntoon. Also present were City Manager Elliott, City Attorney <br />Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />December 20, 1983 <br />Warrants <br />32543 through 32800 <br />112130 through 112296 <br />December 29, 1983, inclusive <br />Bids <br />Award of Bid for Pick -Up Trucks, 1/2 Ton Pick -Up, GMC Truck <br />& Coach, $8,940.04; 3/4 Ton Pick -Ups, Inland Center Dodge, <br />$22,128.88; Community Services. <br />Bids <br />Award of Bid for Used Vehicles, Two Ford Fairmonts, $13,418.50, <br />L. J. Snow Co., Building & Planning Department. Readvertise <br />for new sedan for Community Services as budgeted. <br />Transfer of Funds <br />Automotive Shops, $534., purchase equipment, RESOLUTION NO. <br />4402. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to <br />approve the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Planning Files <br />Res. No. 4403 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Cleric Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Building and Planning Director Jaime Aguilera reported on a request <br />from Rancho Ready Mix to amend the General Plan from Industrial Park <br />to General Industrial, on property located at 1150 South Rancho Avenue <br />and to also include the area bounded on the south and west by Rancho <br />Avenue, on the north by Fogg Street, and on the east by La Cadena <br />Drive. Mr. Aguilera advised the Planning Commission reviewed this <br />matter and recommend approval as outlined in Planning Commission Reso- <br />lution No. 1094. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Mr. Dennis Hansberger, 155 Hospitality Lane, San Bernardino, stated <br />he was representing the applicants, Rancho Ready Mix, they are in <br />agreement with Staff's report and the recommendations of the Planning <br />Commission, and if the Council Members have any questions about the <br />operation, he would be happy to answer them. <br />
