Denial recommended. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to ap- <br />prove the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />YOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLATIONS: <br />League of California Cities Delegates <br />Mayor Huntoon stated it was time to vote for the Annual League <br />Conference delegates. <br />469 <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to <br />designate the Mayor as the Voting Delegate and the Mayor Pro Tempore <br />as the Alternate. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Weed Abatement Cost <br />Mayor Huntoon announced that this was the time and place fixed for <br />public hearing to confirm the Report of the Street Superintendent on <br />Nthe cost of abating nuisance. <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported <br />Q that no protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Elliott reported, the contractor for the Weed Abatement <br />Program, Ed Martin's Discing, has satisfactorily completed the project <br />with a total number of 1,223 parcels abated at a cost of $14,096.00. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />No one came forward. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to <br />terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to ap- <br />prove RESOLUTION NO. 4487. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO <br />Demolition <br />4487 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET <br />SUPERINTENDENT ON COST OF ABATING NUISANCE. <br />Mayor Huntoon announced that this was the time and placed fixed for <br />public hearing to consider the Recovery of Cost of Repair or Demoli- <br />tion for Structures. <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Citv Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that she had not received any written protests or objections. <br />Planning Director Aguilera gave the staff report prepared by the City <br />Clerk. Mr. Aguilera reported the Expense Report of the Planning and <br />Building Director for demolition of various structures is hereby sub- <br />mitted. Mr. Aguilera stated the Clerk reports proper notices were <br />mailed to the property owners and Notices of Administrative Proceed- <br />ings have been filed with the County Recorder. <br />Mr. Aguilera informed the Council that assessments of $500.00 or <br />more, resulting from demolition expenses, can be determined by the <br />Council to be payable in installments and staff is recommending that <br />these assessments be spread to five equal payments. Mr. Aguilera <br />presented two resolutions for Council consideration and recommended <br />adoption. <br />JUL 31984 <br />
