YOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLATIONS: League of California Cities Delegates Mayor Huntoon stated it was time to vote for the Annual League Conference delegates. 469 Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to designate the Mayor as the Voting Delegate and the Mayor Pro Tempore as the Alternate. Unanimous vote. PUBLIC HEARINGS: Weed Abatement Cost Mayor Huntoon announced that this was the time and place fixed for public hearing to confirm the Report of the Street Superintendent on Nthe cost of abating nuisance. Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported Q that no protests or objections had been received. City Manager Elliott reported, the contractor for the Weed Abatement Program, Ed Martin's Discing, has satisfactorily completed the project with a total number of 1,223 parcels abated at a cost of $14,096.00. Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. No one came forward. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to terminate the Public Hearing. RESOLUTION NO Demolition 4487 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON COST OF ABATING NUISANCE. Mayor Huntoon announced that this was the time and placed fixed for public hearing to consider the Recovery of Cost of Repair or Demoli- tion for Structures. Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. Citv Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that she had not received any written protests or objections. Planning Director Aguilera gave the staff report prepared by the City Clerk. Mr. Aguilera reported the Expense Report of the Planning and Building Director for demolition of various structures is hereby sub- mitted. Mr. Aguilera stated the Clerk reports proper notices were mailed to the property owners and Notices of Administrative Proceed- ings have been filed with the County Recorder. Mr. Aguilera informed the Council that assessments of $500.00 or more, resulting from demolition expenses, can be determined by the Council to be payable in installments and staff is recommending that these assessments be spread to five equal payments.
