Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLATIONS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring June 14, 1984, <br />as NATIONAL FLAG DAY. <br />Zoning/General Plan <br />Mayor Huntoon reported on a matter concerning an area in the City of <br />Colton, bounded on the north by Congress Street, on the west by La <br />Cadena Drive, on the east by the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks, <br />and on the south by the Santa Ana River, which cannot be improved or <br />developed by the property owners due to an inconsistency between the <br />N City's General Plan and zoning, the existing zoning being M-1 and M-2. <br />Mayor Huntoon continued that a clear, consistent policy should be <br />fixed and the General Plan and zoning should be consistent with each <br />Q other. Mayor Huntoon suggested the Council. direct Staff to initiate <br />Q a review of this matter and to propose appropriate amendments to be <br />considered by the Planning Commission. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to refer the <br />matter as outlined by Mayor Huntoon to Staff and the Planning Commis- <br />sion for review and recommendation. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Planning Cases <br />City Attorney Edwards stated that Item No. 25, relating to the Public <br />Hearing for a General Plan Amendment, will be reset for the next <br />regular Council. Meeting, June 19, 1984, at 7:30 p. m. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to re- <br />set for Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 19, 1984, General Plan Amend- <br />ment, Index No. G-1-84, Planning Commission Resolution No. 2008. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Special Assessments <br />Landscaping & Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Daniel Burnett, Consulting Engineer, made the Engineer's Report <br />advising that the District consists of 484 lots, at a cost of $91 <br />per lot, for a total assessment of $44,000. Mr. Burnett stated the <br />Report provides for the annexation into the District of additional <br />parcels and for the levy of annual. assessments. <br />Mr. Burnett continued if there are no protests received this evening, <br />the Council may proceed with the adoption of two resolutions for the <br />Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak in favor of or <br />in opposition to this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, the <br />Public Hearing was terminated. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to ap- <br />prove RESOLUTION NOS. 4476 and 4477. Unanimous vote. <br />JUN 61%4 <br />
