429 <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Chamber of Commerce <br />Mayor Huntoon stated the Council will deviate from the Agenda and take <br />Item No. 19 at this time, which will be a presentation by the Colton <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br />Mrs. Elsa Pullen, President of the Colton Chamber of Commerce, pre- <br />sented the Mayor and Council with a Plaque commemorating the 1985 <br />Tournament of Roses Parade, and the first official Rose Parade button. <br />Miss Colton then presented each Council Member with a Rose Parade <br />button, which will be sold for $1.00, and these proceeds will be used <br />to purchase uniforms for the Colton High School Yellowjacket Color <br />Guard, for their participation in the 1985 Tournament of Roses Parade. <br />Mrs. Pullen advised that the Chamber has raised $178 through their <br />Chamber mixers, and they anticipate raising the amount needed through <br />the sale of these buttons and future Chamber mixers. <br />Mrs. Pullen also acknowledged other people involved in this effort <br />and read a letter from Larry Robison, Director of the Colton High <br />N School Marching Band.
