432 <br />RESOLUTION_NO. 4434 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2240, PERSONNEL <br />SYSTEM RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF <br />COLTON. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATI <br />BG/Sewers <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported on a contract adjustment for the <br />Community Development Block Grant Sewer Improvements Project due to <br />the relocation of the sewer line because of an existing gas main owned <br />by the Southern California Gas Company. Mr. Aguilera said Staff reco- <br />mends the Council authorize the City Manager to execute a change order <br />for the Community Development Block Grant Sewer Improvements Project <br />as requested by the Project Engineer. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />Staff's recommendation as outlined with regard to Change Order for <br />C.D.B.G. Sewer Improvements Project. Unanimous vote. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Special Assessments <br />Lighting and Landscaping Maintenance District No. 1 <br />Director of Community Services McGee reported on Resolution No. 4435, <br />directing the City Engineer to prepare an engineer's report outlining <br />the anticipated cost of the District before assessments can be levied <br />on property owners. The report must be presented and the affected <br />property owners given an opportunity for comment, and Resolution No. <br />4435 is the first step in establishing the District. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />Resolution No. 4435. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4435 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING PREPARATION OF AN <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR CITY OF COLTON LANDSCAP- <br />ING & LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1. <br />Assessment District No. 79-1 <br />Change Order No. 2 <br />Mr. McGee reported on Change Order No. 2 for Assessment District No. <br />79-1, in the amount of $17,000, to be taken from the Project Contin- <br />gency Account, for the relocation of a water line. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve <br />Change Order No. 2 for Assessment District No. 79-1 as outlined. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Fire Department <br />Ordinance No. 1661 <br />Fire Chief Ron Gemmell reported on the Uniform Fire Code, 1982 Edi- <br />tion and a proposed sprinkler ordinance, which, if approved, would <br />bring the City's codes up to date, and be a valuable and effective <br />means of fire protection. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to adopt <br />the Uniform Fire Code, 1982 Edition, with the addition of the auto- <br />matic sprinkler system requirements, Ordinance No. 1661. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1661 - AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE", <br />(First Reading) 1982 EDITION, PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS GOVERNING <br />CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM <br />FIRE OR EXPLOSION, AND ESTABLISHING A BUREAU OF <br />FIRE PREVENTION AND PROVIDING OFFICERS THEREOF <br />AND DEFINING THEIR PONERS AND DUTIES. <br />MAR Zp1984 <br />
