19. <br />JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />FOR THE CITY OF COLTON <br />ON THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE <br />MT VERNON CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />AND THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE <br />WEST VALLEY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />1. MAYOR: Both the Council and the Agency are simultaneously <br />convened for the purpose of conducting two joint public <br />hearings during which the Council and Agency will take <br />public testimony prior to considering the adoption of a <br />Redevelopment Plan for the Mt. Vernon Corridor <br />Redevelopment Project and a Redevelopment Plan for the <br />First Amendment to the West Valley Redevelopment <br />Project. <br />The purpose and scope of these hearings is to consider the <br />adoption of the Redevelopment Plan for the Mt. Vernon <br />Corridor Redevelopment Project and the First Amendment <br />to the West Valley Redevelopment Project, including <br />consideration of all objections which may be made at the <br />hearings to the Plans or the Environmental Impact <br />Reports. <br />The first Project to be considered will be the Mt. <br />Vernon Corridor Redevelopment Project. <br />Prior to opening the public hearing, the Agency will <br />consider several brief items relating to the transmittal of a <br />report to the City Council on the Mt. Vernon Corridor <br />Project, and relating to the provision of low- and moderate - <br />income housing outside the Mt. Vernon Corridor <br />Redevelopment Project Area. <br />4 <br />
