Mr. Aguilera advised that the Planning Commission, at its meeting of <br />,.., March 225 1988, recommended approval of the Text Amendment and proposed <br />Ordinance. Mr. Aguilera concluded if the City Council concurs, it would <br />be in order to pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-13-88. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Councilman Rios felt the ordinance should have included a provision re- <br />garding shortwave radio antennas. <br />City Manager Benest advised that Staff would be checking into this and <br />report back to Council at a later date. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to close the <br />Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to waive full <br />reading and pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-13-88. Motion carried <br />with Mayor Gonzales voting NO. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-13-88 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />(First Reading) ORDINANCE NO. 1602, AND TITLE 18 OF THE COLTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, CHAPTER 18.24, SPECIAL PROVI- <br />SIONS, TO ESTABLISH SECTION 18.24.120, TO SET <br />FORTH CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURES FOR PERMITTING <br />SATELLITE DISH ANTENNAS. <br />Codes <br />Ord. No. 0-15-88 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Community Development Director Aguilera reported approximately every <br />three years the State approves revisions to the Building Codes which <br />cities use to regulate construction. Mr. Aguilera advised the City of <br />Colton adopted the current Building Codes approximately three years <br />ago and it is now time to adopt the new Codes as revised, which contain <br />few changes except for the acceptance of new materials which can be used <br />for construction, and new fees which the codes will allow cities to <br />charge builders. <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded Staff recommends waiving full reading of Ordi- <br />nance No. 0-15-885 and pass First Reading. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to close the <br />Public Hearing.
