Unanimous vote. Personnel Res. No. R-76-88 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and re- ported that no protests or objections had been received. Personnel Officer Benest reported on the new position of Building Main- tenance Leadworker, which was approved in the 1988-89 Budget for the Public Works Department. This position will be at a Salary Range of 20.0 and will be placed in the General Unit. Mr. Benest also spoke about retitling the Custodian classification to that of Maintenance Worker I. with no salary change recommended. Mr. Benest concluded Staff recommends approval of the job description for Building Maintenance Leadworker, retitling the classification of Custodian to Maintenance Worker I. and adoption of Resolution No. R- 76-88, amending the City's Pay and Classification Plan. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to close the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Community Development Director Aguilera reported that the Planning Com- mission had reviewed the vacation of this alley, located between Valley Boulevard and "H" Street and Grand Avenue east to the end, and recom- mended approval of the vacation. 5
