TTFMS Boards & Commissions Mayor Gonzales stated twelve applications have been received from in- dividuals desiring to serve on the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission, from which seven will be appointed as Members. Seven names were picked by ballot, drawn by Pastor Anderson, and four Members, J. Michael Burrows, Bette Cook, Hazel Olson, Brian Smith, will serve two year terms, with Danny Carrasco, Jane Judy Luna, Josiane Lynne Roman, serving four year terms. On Council consensus, the re- maining five individuals will serve as Alternates. Staff was directed to amend the Ordinance, No. 0-11-87, to provide for alternate commission members. CORRESPONDENCE: Traffic Conditions xecne canyon Area Mr. Mel Albiso, 2575 Carbon Court, Colton, spoke to the Council with regard to the current traffic situation in Reche Canyon, requesting that the City take some measures to alleviate the problems and con- gestion, and work with the Counties of San Bernardino and Riverside to this end. Mr. Albiso suggested establishing a Blue Ribbon Committee to study and assist with these problems. City Manager Benest advised the City's Traffic Committee has been very concerned about this area. Mr. Benest stated Staff has also been work- ing with the Counties of San Bernardino and Riverside, and the City of Loma Linda. Mr. Benest said the City will be requesting proposals from consultants sometime this month, to make a total review of the Canyon. 2
