MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Boards & Commissions Mayor Gonzales stated the appointments of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission will be continued to an Adjourned Meeting, to be held on Tuesday, January 26, 1988, at 6:00 p. m. Training Certificates Mayor Gonzales presented Training Certificates to six new Voluntary Reserve Dispatchers who had completed 30 hours of academic training, and would be working not less than 8 hours per month. Police Chief Connolly and Captain Malouf commented on the training program and commended the new Reserve Dispatchers. PTTRT.Tr NP.ARTWnq UDAG City Manager Benest stated that the Public Hearing to consider the Urban Development Action Grant program, as funded by the Federal Department of Housing & Urban Development, will be continued to an Adjourned Meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 26, 1988, at 6:00 p. M. Assessment Districts Res. No. R-5-88 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Public Works Director John Hutton advised that all public notices have been duly posted for the public hearing to consider Annexation Numbers 8 and 9 to the City's Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District No. 1. Mr. Hutton stated if there are no significant protests at the end of the hearing, Staff would recommend approval of Resolution No. R-5- 88. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to close the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote.
