MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Mayor Gonzales stated the appointments of the Historic and Scenic <br />Preservation Commission will be continued to an Adjourned Meeting, <br />to be held on Tuesday, January 26, 1988, at 6:00 p. m. <br />Training Certificates <br />Mayor Gonzales presented Training Certificates to six new Voluntary <br />Reserve Dispatchers who had completed 30 hours of academic training, <br />and would be working not less than 8 hours per month. <br />Police Chief Connolly and Captain Malouf commented on the training <br />program and commended the new Reserve Dispatchers. <br />PTTRT.Tr NP.ARTWnq <br />UDAG <br />City Manager Benest stated that the Public Hearing to consider the <br />Urban Development Action Grant program, as funded by the Federal <br />Department of Housing & Urban Development, will be continued to an <br />Adjourned Meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 26, 1988, at 6:00 <br />p. M. <br />Assessment Districts <br />Res. No. R-5-88 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Public Works Director John Hutton advised that all public notices have <br />been duly posted for the public hearing to consider Annexation Numbers <br />8 and 9 to the City's Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District No. <br />1. Mr. Hutton stated if there are no significant protests at the end <br />of the hearing, Staff would recommend approval of Resolution No. R-5- <br />88. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to close <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />Resolution No. R-5-88. Unanimous vote. <br />-- RESOLUTION NO.
