R-58-88, amending Resolution No. R- <br />45-88, Establishing a Pay and Classification Plan for Grant <br />and Special Term Employees, to include the Classification of <br />JTPA Coordinator. <br />(12) Elections <br />Consider RESOLUTION NOS. R-59-88 and R-60-889 regarding the <br />General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 8, <br />1988. <br />(13) Appeals <br />Set for Public Hearing, Tuesday, July 19, 1988, Appeal filed <br />by Pacific Summit Development Company on Planning Commission <br />decision for File Index No. D-54-88. <br />(14) Claims <br />GEICO, Andrea Lopez, vs. the City of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Weed Abatement <br />Res. No. R-61-88 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />Public Works Director John Hutton reported the contractor has satisfac- <br />torily completed the Annual Weed Abatement Project with a total number <br />of 314 parcels abated at a cost of $21,397. <br />Mr. Hutton stated if there are insufficient protests at the close of <br />this hearing, Staff would recommend approval of Resolution No. R-61-88. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to close the <br />Public Hearing.
