Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to ratify <br />reappointment of Hilda Garcia to the Library Board. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Appeals <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Benest reported that the applicant has informed the City, <br />by letter dated July 12, 1988, they wish to withdraw the Appeal. Mr. <br />Benest stated no further action is necessary. <br />Fees <br />Ord. No. 0-18-88 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Assistant City Manager Leslie Keane submitted the Affidavit of Publica- <br />tion and reported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Ms. Keane stated Ordinance No. 0-18-88 will amend the Municipal Code <br />for the City of Colton, adding a specific section dealing with public <br />improvement fees to be paid by development projects within specified <br />areas of impact and benefit. This section will formalize the process <br />the City currently uses to assess traffic fees and will allow the City <br />to expand the use of "impact of development" guidelines and focused <br />studies to the assessment of fees for other types of public infrastruc- <br />ture. Ordinance No. 0-18-88 will also bring the City into conformance <br />with the provisions of Section 66484 of the Subdivision Map Act and the <br />recently enacted AB 1600. <br />Ms. Keane concluded Staff recommends waiving full reading, pass Second <br />Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 0-18-88. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />2 <br />
