Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that no protests or objections had been received. City Manager Benest reported on amendments to the City's Pay and Classi- fication Plan for positions in the Public Works Department, of Engineer- ing Specialist and Engineering Technician I and II, and the Community Development Department, of Building Inspector I and II and Principal Planner. Mr. Benest reviewed the need and justification for these posi- tions, and the duties and salary ranges. Mr. Benest concluded if Council concurs, Staff would recommend adoption of the job descriptions and Resolution No. R-34-88, amending the City's Pay and Classification Plan. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to close the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote.
