PUBLIC HEARINGS:
UDAG Application
Mayor Gonzales declared the Continuance of the Public Hearing.
City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting Continuance and re-
ported that no protests or objections had been received.
City Manager Benest reported Staff has been negotiating with the property
owner in the Mt. Vernon Corridor Redevelopment Project area to select
a project and meet the UDAG application deadline of May 31, and also to
ascertain whether the owner will participate in the project.
Mr. Benest stated at this time, Staff is recommending the public hearing
be terminated and no further action be taken.
Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to
close the Public Hearing on the matter concerning a UDAG Application.
Unanimous vote.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS/COMMITTEES REPORTS & RECOMMENDATIONS:
Utility Commission
Electric Utility Director Gale Drews reported from his memorandum, and
referred to memorandums from the Business License & Collections Officer,
the Customer Service Supervisor, and the Principal Electrical Engineer,
with regard to revisions to the City's Customer Service Policy for the
Electric Utility. Mr. Drews advised that sections of the existing Policy
have become antiquated and detrimental to the operation of the Electric
Utility, and are in need of revision. Mr. Drews then outlined the major
revisions to the Policy, stating that the Utility Commission, at its meet-
ing of May 2, 1988, unanimously recommended approval of the revisions to
the Customer Service Policy.
Mr. Drews concluded Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. R-39-88,
revising the Customer Service Policy to become effective July 1, 1988.
Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to ap-
prove Resolution No. R-39-88, and revisions to the City's Customer Ser-
vice Policy. Unanimous vote.
RESOLUTION NO. R-39-88 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLTON ESTABLISHING A CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICY
AND RATE SCHEDULE FOR ELECTRIC UTILITY CUSTOMERS.
Beautification Committee
4
