Discussion followed among Councilmembers and Staff, afterwhich it was <br />suggested this matter be returned to the Planning Commission for their <br />review of the requested changes concerning commercial development. <br />Moved by Councilman Roman, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to approve the <br />Reche Canyon Specific Plan and the Planning Commission amendments, with <br />the exception of the matter relating to commercial zoning, and that the <br />commercial zoning issue be referred back to the Planning Commission. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />UPrcnnnP1 <br />City Manager Sotelo reported on the new Job Description for Economic/ <br />Redevelopment Coordinator, which would replace that of Senior Planner, <br />in order to recruit for the vacant position. There would be no change <br />in salary for the position. <br />Mr. Sotelo recommended approval of the new Job Description for Economic/ <br />Redevelopment Coordinator and Resolution No. R-135-90, amending the <br />City's Pay and Classification Plan. <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to approve Staff's <br />recommendation and Resolution No. R-135-90. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-135-90 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-49-90. <br />Closed Session <br />City Manager Sotelo requested a Closed Session at the end of the Meeting. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. Richard Prieto, 634 East "H" Street, spoke about a "Candeleria" <br />held at Green Acres Cemetery last week, which was very impressive <br />and beautiful, with the theme of Christmas. Mr. Prieto said he would <br />like to see something similar done at Hermosa Cemetery, if possible. <br />Mayor Gonzales suggested Mr. Prieto get in touch with City Clerk Ramos, <br />the Hermosa Cemetery Manager. <br />Councilman Roman reported on the training of soldiers in the river <br />bottom, the destroying of property and vegetation, and requested this <br />matter be checked into. <br />Par,acC <br />The City Council recessed at 10:02 p.m., to take up the business of the <br />Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton, and reconvened at 10:12 p.m., <br />all Members present. <br />8 LV <br />
