MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Fifth Annual Tour de Terrace Mayor Gonzales presented request from the City of Grand Terrace for permission to tour our City on Sunday, October 7, 1990.. The tour is not a race. Moved by Councilman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to grant permission for Grand Terrace to include the City of Colton in their tour. Unanimous vote. Public Power Week Mayor Gonzales stated the City Council proclaimed the week of October 7-13, 1990 as Public Power Week. The Colton Electric Utility will hold an "Open House" on October 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., residents and businesses are welcome to attend. An information booth will be set up at City Hall for the general public. Mr. Gale Drews, Electric Utility Director, presented Public Power T-shirts to Council Members. Proclamations Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring October 7-13, 1990, as Fire Prevention Week. Fire Chief Ron Gemmell introducted Rhonda Curtis, Fire Inspector. Chief Gemmell stated that Rhonda has been most effective in working with the community on fire prevention activities which will be occuring within the City. T 2 l 2
