(8) Fleming Park <br />Request from the Colton Boxing Club for use of Fleming Park <br />on Tuesday, April 16, 1991, from 7:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m., <br />for 3rd Annual Colton Boxing Showdown Event. <br />(9 ) Claims <br />Lisa Wilhoit, Terrie Velasquez, John Engelman, versus the City <br />of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar, with correction to Minutes of December 18, 1990 <br />Meeting. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring January 20 through <br />261 1991, as BOOK WEEK. The Proclamation was accepted by David Davis, <br />City Librarian. <br />Mayor Pro Tem <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, nominat- <br />ing Councilman Lofy as Mayor Pro Tem. Unanimous vote. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Mayor Gonzales referred to a letter dated December 26, 1990, from John <br />M. Aguilar, Jr., President of the Colton Boxing Club, regarding issues <br />pertaining to the Colton Boxing Club. <br />Mr. Aguilar was not present, therefore, this item was considered as in- <br />formational and the City Council took no action. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Reche Canyon Specific Plan <br />Community Development Director Aguilera reported Staff was recommending <br />continuance of the Reche Canyon Specific Plan to the next regular City <br />Council Meeting of January 15, 1991, so that the Councilmembers will <br />have the recommendations of the Planning Commission before them. <br />Mrs. Clare Smith, 11794 Reche Canyon Road, spoke on behalf of herself <br />and her sister, Mrs. Alice Moore, 11825 Reche Canyon Road, regarding <br />their two parcels of property consisting of approximately 10.7 acres, <br />located in the County of San Bernardino. Mrs. Smith requested the City <br />consider a change of zone for the areas surrounding their property, which <br />might help to encourage more feasible development for their property <br />and benefit the entire community. Mrs. Smith also referred to a letter <br />from Supervisor Riordan concerning this property and the recommendation <br />for low density land use. <br />2 <br />i <br />JAN 3 1991 <br />
