(10) Claims <br />City of San Bernardino vs. City of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />(11) Public Hearings <br />Set for Public Hearing for April 2, 1991, Reconsideration <br />of Appeal on Tentative Tract No. 12201. <br />Moved by Council Member Cisneros, seconded by Council Member Lofy, <br />to approve the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />Park Fund <br />Council Member Lofy reported there has been considerable controversy <br />involving certain aspects of the dispensation of the Park Develop- <br />ment Tax Fund. Council Member Lofy addressed the aspect of accrued <br />interest. The Parks and Recreation Commission for many years has <br />expressed concern over the fact that the interest of the Park Develop- <br />ment Tax has gone into the City General Fund. Council Member Lofy <br />recommended that the accrued yearly interest in the City of Colton <br />Park Development Tax Fund be retained in the principal account and that <br />the funds be utilized for its intended purposes as outlined in the <br />The New Quimby Act, and the City of Colton Park Development Tax Fund <br />Ordinance. <br />Moved by Council Member Cisneros, seconded by Council Member Rehrer, to <br />approve the recommendation presented by Council Member Lofy. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />Discussion was held as to what period of accrued interest should be <br />deposited in the Park Development Fund. <br />City Manager Sotelo stated he would bring a report back to the Council <br />outlining the various options and financial impact. <br />Appointments <br />Mayor Gonzales reported Councilman Rehrer has resigned as City <br />representative on the San Bernardino County East Valley Airport <br />Land Use Commission. A new primary member and alternate is needed. <br />Moved by Council Member Cisneros, seconded by Council Member Lofy, to <br />appoint Council Member Roman. Unanimous vote. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORS REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Rent Stablization Commission <br />Director Aguilera stated letters of resignation from two Commis- <br />sioners have been received. The positions that are open are: One <br />Alternate Mobile Home Park Owner Representative and One Mobile Home <br />Park Renter Representative. <br />MAR 1 9 1901 <br />
