Parks
Council Member Roman questioned why Patty Ramirez was required to
provide insurance for the use of Fleming Park, and neither the First
Baptist Church nor the VFW were required to do so.
Parks, Recreation & Human Services Director Karl Gaytan explained the
City has had a longtime relationship with the Church and has had an
exchange of services, especially dealing with the senior citizens
meals, while the centers were undergoing renovation; therefore,
as a courtesy to the Church, the requirement of providing insurance
was waived. Mr. Gaytan also advised that the function involving the
VFW is a City sponsored function.
Moved by Council Member Roman, seconded by Council Member Cisneros, to
approve requests from the Colton First Baptist Church and the Veterans'
of Foreign Wars for use of Fleming Park as outlined. Unanimous vote.
MAVnP AND CnTTNCTT. TTFMS :
3 MAY 2 B 1991
