MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Commendations Mayor Gonzales introduced Mrs. Helen Cortez, Administrative Analyst, who announced the Winners of the Recycling Division Logo Competition held at Platt College in June 1991. Mrs. Cortez stated that it was difficult to select a winner; therefore, three individuals were selected and their entries were combined into the final Logo. The three winners for design were; Kent Salas, Irene Croxe and Leona Axe. Terri Bennett's entry was the color scheme winner. Each winner was presented a Certificate by Mayor Gonzales. Winner Kent Salas, thanked the City for the opportunity afforded Pratt College art students in this project. Mrs. Cortez introduced Mr. Charlie Gabriel, Redlands Federal Bank and Jack and Joe Avakian of Jacks Disposal, Major Sponsors of the Recycle 5K - 10K Run. Mayor Gonzales presented each with a Plaque of Appreciation. Mayor Gonzales acknowledged Human Services employee Genevieve Rodriquez who has been instrumental in coordinating the participation in this event.
