PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Historic Demi nation <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Pudic Nearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or <br />objections were received. <br />Community Development Director Zamora reported that the residence located at 891 North <br />9th Street, has been found to be eligible for historic designation because of its unique style <br />of architecture. The designation will not create any financial impact on the city. It is the <br />recommendation of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission that said residence be <br />known as Historic Landmark #28. <br />After calling for public comment and hearing none, notion by Councilmember Cisneros, <br />seconded by Councilmember Sandoval, to terminate the Public Nearing carried. Unanimous <br />vote, <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Beltran, to approve the <br />historic designation carried. Unanimous vote. <br />RESCLUTIQN-- NO. R-124- - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIME CITY OF <br />COLTON PROVIDING FOR TIME DESIGNATION OF <br />HISTORICAL PROPERTY WITHIN TIME CITE` OF COLTON. <br />Enforcement and Abatement of Signa <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Nearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit: of Publication and reported that no protest or <br />objections were received, <br />Community Development Director Zamora reported on the City"s present statute which <br />states that before an illegal sign may be abated by the City, notice of the City's intention to <br />remove the sign shall be mailed to the owner of the sign at least ten days before the date <br />of removal. The intent was to provide notice for illegal signs on private property and it was <br />not intended to be applicable as to the removal of illegal signs in the City's right-of-way <br />areas and/or public property. <br />4 <br />
