Washington avenue in the Cooley Ranch. The owner of the parcels, Camden Development,
LTD, is requesting final acceptance of the neap. The reap has been reviewed by the City
Engineer and meets the requirements of the City and the State Subdivision Map Act. Legal
Counsel Kevin Randoph of BBK is present to answer legal questions on the Parcel Map and
Mr. Vaughn Lewis of J.F. Davidson to answer any traffic issues. Staff is recommending A.
All approving signatures being placed on the map and B. The approval of the site plan
configuration with all interested parties be in place, prior to recordation.
Mr. Christopher Jensen, representing the owner of the adjoining Taco Bell, said the primary
concern of the parcel map being approved is based on its intended use. Taco Bell is in
agreement with the conditions proposed by the City Manager and the Public Works Director.
Taco Bell would like the two extra weeks to resolve the issues and that is why we are in
agreement. The primary concern is for the traffic and safety on the Taco Bell site. Mr. ,Jensen said they do not believe that this should happen without an easement
being purchased and they are very close to working this out.
City Manager Legis closed saying the Agency and City have gone to extreme ends to meet
the property owners demand and is concerned about the frustration being built up because
the City has not been able to move forward on an agreement that is a year ,old. Should this
matter not be resolved over the two weeks, staff will be back at the next meeting to resolve
the matter.
After calling for comments and hearing none, motion by Councilmernber Dornan, seconded
by Councilman Lofy, to terrninate the Public Hearing is carried. Unanimous Grote,
Motion by Councilmernber Lofy, seconded by Councilmember Roman, to approve Parcel flap
14070 with staff recommendations outlined by the Public Works Director. Unanimous vote.
STAFF DEPORTS;
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
Community Development Director Zamora submitted a complete listing of the six major
commercial/industrial permits issued in the month of October, 1992. Director Zamora
reported the total fees were $6,612.2.5 with total value at $473,284,23.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
Mr. Benny Hernandez, related an incident he encountered when the Police Department,
specifically, Officer Lewis, appeared at his house on the day of November 3, 1982. After
listening to Mr. Hernandez, Mayor Gonzales referred the matter back to the Police
Department for investigation. Captain Lunsford seated in the audience stated he would meet
k
