Mayor Gonzales reminded the citizens that the reason that this venture was taken was <br />because the people of the City of Colton, through a committee, felt that the City was <br />growing and recognized the need to preserve its historic buildings. The Staff and the City <br />Council recognize that there is a redUCtion of property tax but it is minimal. <br />After calling for comments and hearing none, on motion of Councilmember Cisneros, <br />seconded by Councilmember Lofy, the Public Hearing is terminated. Unanimous vote. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cisneros, seconded by Councilmember Lofy, to accept staff <br />recommendation and approve the historical designations. Unanimous vote. <br />Parcel Map 14070 <br />As requested by City Manager Lewis, and approved by the City Council, the Mayor <br />continued this matter to the next meeting. <br />Tract No. 14158 <br />The Mayor declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or <br />objections were received. <br />Public Works Director Hutton reported that it has been determined that certain open space <br />areas designated additional sideyard landscape areas, within Tract No. 14158, are not <br />needed as public right of way, The City Council has declared its intention to order the <br />abandonment of the subject property. Staff reported no financial impact and recommended <br />that City Council order the vacation of said space. <br />After calling for comments and hearing none, on motion of Councilmember Cisneros, <br />seconded by Councilmember Lofy, the Public Dearing is terminated. Unanimous vote, <br />Motion by Councilmember Lofy, seconded by Councilmember Rehrer, to accept and adopt <br />Resolution No. R-1 1 5-92. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO.
