salary range for Information Systems Coordinator, RESOLUTION NO. R- <br />7£-93. Unanimous vote. <br />Items Nos. 5 to 11 <br />Citing budget constraints and increasing utility rates faced by the <br />citizenry, Councilmember Beltran voice objection to this position <br />as these duties could be performed by the Chamber of Commerce. <br />Councilmember Cook agreed however she stated that the Chamber of <br />Commerce does not sponsor these. events. <br />Mayor Gonzales described the position which will. become a role <br />model through recreation events. The kids need something to do. <br />He defended. the City's pasture on utility increases. He reported a <br />recent survey disclosed the City of Colton as one of the lowest <br />charging The Council has been Frugal, in keeping rates down during <br />recession. <br />Councilmember Cook asked what department would be responsible for <br />these positions. City Manager Young informed that the positions <br />would answer to the City Manager. <br />Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember <br />Bennett, to adopt the lob descriptions and approve the salary <br />ranges for community Relations Coordinator; Community Youth Project <br />Coordinator; Development and Marketing Director; Assistant Electric <br />Utility Director, Engineering Aide, Irrigation Systems Technician <br />and Plan Check Engineer, RESOLUTION NO. R-77-930 RESOLUTION NO. R- <br />78-93; RESOLUTION NO. R-79-93; RESOLUTION NO. R-80-93; RESOLUTION <br />NO. R-8193; RESOLUTION NO. R-82-93; AND RESOLUTION NO. R-83-93. <br />Motion passed with Councilmember Beltran voting "No." <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The City Council adjourned. to Closed Session at 6:55 P. M., to <br />discuss Personnel matters{ pursuant to Government Cade Section <br />54957 and. Litigation Matters, pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54956.9(a). <br />The Council reconvened at 7:45 P. M., with all Councilmembers <br />present as heretofore, except for City Attorney Biggs who conducted <br />City business via telephone. <br />INVOCATION <br />Mayor Gonzales welcomed Father McNally who was now present and <br />apologized for being late as he did not remember the new meeting <br />hours. Father McNally expressed appreciation for the City's <br />assistance with the annual fiesta, especially Mayor Gonzales, <br />Councilmember Cook and City Manager 'young. <br />Father McNally offered the invocation. <br />4 <br />
