ADECEMBER 21, 1993 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:35 p.m., in the Council Chambers <br />of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />ELAG SALUTE <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Plugs of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />14VO A IOC e <br />Invocation was offered by Chaplain Manny Orio. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Cou cilmem ars present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, <br />Cook, Beltran, and Mayor Gonzales. also present were City Manager <br />Youngs City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Senior Citizens Center <br />Mr. Fred Cordova conveyed holiday greetings. He recalled that at <br />one time, former Recreation Director Rich Holmer had entertained a <br />plan for a senior citizens center. Mr. Cordova called attention to <br />the fact that (.) seniors do not have a center. He said that meals <br />for senors are serve, at button Cuter and Luque Center* however, <br />after the meals are completed, senior citizens must then leave to <br />all.w for other activities o take place. He saidthat surrounding <br />cities have senior citizens centers where senior citizens can be <br />involved in arts and crafts, hold card parties and sponsor art <br />shows. He suggested that there is federal grant monies available <br />for such construction and ( 2 ) he reminded. City Council that five <br />months after their approval, the ambulances are still not on the <br />road.a He reported that the City of SanBernardino had recently <br />voted to start an ambulance car ice. <br />N <br />
