Unanimous Grote. <br />Brief discussion followed on Item 3, the proposed policy regarding <br />nepotism. Counc i lr ember Bennett said she would. like to see an <br />expansion of language in the paragraph beginning with "A relative <br />is defined..... 11, to include ex --officials and appointed officials <br />and including a length. of time, similar to the ,Mate's policy. <br />Councilmember Sandoval said he was concerned with the appeal <br />process portion.. As the policy is written, the appeal process ends <br />with the City Manager. In his opinion, the appeal process should <br />mirror that of the MOU and the Civil Service System and en.d with <br />the City Council. <br />City Manager Lewis stated that the appeal process, in this <br />instance, because of the sensi <br />
