Motion by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to approve and accept the Consent Calendar, with Item S removed for discussion, carried. Unanimous Obote. ITEM DI CUSSION: Item 6: Are mens City Council expressed their concern of allowing a neighbor city to encroach on our sphere of influence and questioned the reason and length for this water agreement, permitting Montecito Memorial Park to obtain temporary water services from the City of Loma Linda. Public Utilities Department submitted the agenda report and Acting Public Works Director Hutton said he was not thoroughly familiar with the matter; however, it appeared the cemetery planned construction and required water which may be undeliverable by the City of Colton. It was not unclear whether the water requested was for domestic or irrigation water supply, Mr. Hutton stated that such agreements have been negotiated in the past with the understanding that when the required services are available through the City of Colton, the agreement ends. Mr. Hutton asked for additional time to review and study the issue and return at the next Council meeting. Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Beltran, to table this agenda item until the next meeting carried. Unanimous vote. MAYOR & COUNCIL ITEMS Recoa nition Mayor Gonzales read proclamation declaring Poppy Gays from May 18 to 22, 1993. The proclamation was presented to Mrs. June Brown, representing the Colton American Legion Post 155 Auxiliary. She thanked the City for its support and asked everyone to buy and wear a poppy. Meeting Hour Change Mayor Gonzales indicated there was a request from several Councilmernbers for a change of the Meeting hour from 7:30 P. M. to 6.00 P. M. Because of other commitments, Councilmember Bennett requested that the start time be 6:30 P. M. Motion by Councilmember Bennett, seconded by Councilmember Sandoval to change the City Council meeting hour from 7:30 P. M. to 6:30 P. M., carried. Unanimous vote.
