Public Works Director Hutton replied there are many streets in the <br />City 'in need of repaving, however, this is based on available <br />funding and presently there is no funding. As soon as funds are <br />received the repaving will begin. The City has recently purchased <br />an additional recycling vehicle. This will enable the it to <br />expand the recycling program. <br />Public or. <br />Mr. Jesse Valdivia, 644 East "C" Street, said he concurred with Ms. <br />Hart with regard to the traffic problems. In particular, the area <br />around Fairview and the school, the parents are parking on what <br />should be the sidewalk. Mr. Valdivia thanked the Public Works <br />Director and Mr. is Baden for their quick response in having the <br />bushes trimmed all "H11 and Sperry and the trees along "C" Street. <br />The trimming improves traf f ic visabi.it y and allows the children to <br />walk on the sidewalk instead of the street. <br />Mr. Fred Cordova, 190 West "Ell Street, thanked the Public Works <br />Department for installing the two signs in. the all behind his <br />house and Fleming Park, this has enabled him to garage his car <br />without any problems. <br />Mr. Cordova stated in August 1991, the City approved. a Green Waste <br />li, 1 former which was curtailed by formCity Manager <br />Recycng Program <br />Lewis. He requested the city Council to reactivate this program. <br />City Manager Young informed that the program would be ready for <br />wi <br />iWorks <br />c ty-de implementation beginning January 1994. Mayor Gonzales reported that following <br />J <br />the Redevelopment Agency Meeting, the Council would ad)ourn to <br />Closed Session. it Attorney Biggs informed the Closed Session <br />involved litigation concerning Blue Ribbon Nursery. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City Attorney Julie Biggs announced the Council would be adjourning <br />to Closed. Session to consider personnel matters pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 54957 and litigation matters pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(a). <br />The Council adjourned to Closed Session at 7.*25 p.m. and reconvened <br />at 8:15 p.m. all members present. <br />5 <br />
