Fire Marshall Sork reported that the fall 2000 and spring 2001 weed abatement <br />program were completed. <br />MOTIONNOTE: There being no request for public comment, motion/second by CM <br />Ramos/Sanders to terminate the Public Hearing carried upon unanimous vote. <br />Motion/second by CM Ramos/De La Rosa to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. R- <br />81-01, adopting a report and statement of expenses for the weed abatement program <br />and to consider imposing a lien upon the property for payment thereof. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the City Council: Richard Eckwell, W. F. Keller, John <br />Romero, Jimmy Babacos, Berniece Adams, Charles Jackson, and William Yahn. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Member Comments: <br />The following topics were addressed by the Members: La Cadena Corridor; Fleming <br />Park Concerts; Colton Youth Soccer League; 1-210; Mt. Vernon Landscaping Project; <br />Pocket Park; Mills Street Beautification Project; and Town Hall Meeting. <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: <br />District 6 — CM Zamora declared a vacancy in the Code Enforcement Housing Advisory <br />and Appeals Board due to the resignation of Fred Cordova. <br />At -Large - Mayor Bennett announced the appointment of W. Don Earp to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission. <br />MOTIONIVOTE: Motion/second by CM Ramos/Zamora to ratify appointments as <br />submitted carried with no opposition thereto, with CM Sanders from the dais for this <br />motion. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Chastain to approve Consent <br />Calendar Items Nos. 7 thru 19 carried upon unanimous vote. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />(7) Minutes - Approved Minutes for the Regular Meeting held August 7, 2001 on file <br />in the Office of the City Clerk. <br />City Council Mins August 21, 2001 4 <br />
