!� ADJOURNED REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />JOINED WITH THE COLTON JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF EDUCATION <br />rdA <br />August 26, 2002 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Joint Meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Colton and the Board of Education of the Colton Joint Unified School District <br />was held on the above given date at 6:12 p.m., in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center located at <br />400 North Pepper Avenue, Colton, California, Oak Room, Mayor Bennett and President Ibarra <br />presiding. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Hernandez, DeLaRosa, Chastain, Mitchell, (Sarah) Zamora, and <br />Mayor Bennett. Also present were City Manager Parrish, and City Clerk Barrera. Councilmember <br />Ramos absent. <br />BOARD OF EDUCATION ROLL CALL: <br />Board Members present were Taylor, Mendoza -Ware, Armenta, Jr., Brinker Lopez -Carson, (David) <br />Zamora and President Ibarra. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />School Superintendent Byas led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Bennett asked Councilmembers present if there were any agenda items that were in Conflict <br />of Interest pursuant to CMC §2.04.030. No disclosures made. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following Citizen addressed the City Council and the Board of Education: Jimmy Babacos. <br />ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />(1) Current Joint ProiectsNentures <br />McKinley Field Improvements <br />City Manager gave an update on the McKinley Field Improvements a joint project with the <br />school district where the City of Colton contribution is $35,000 and the School District <br />contribution is $35,000. There will be infrastructure improvements, waste receptacles, <br />picnic tables, and playground equipment. <br />
