n Presentation - Families of Injured Veterans of America (FIVA) <br />Public Affairs Representative Joseph Mena presented Certificates of Appreciation to <br />Adriel Guitron, Michael Thorton, Bob Morey and Lisa Nicolay for their donations of <br />trumpets to enable the Riverside Memorial Veterans Cemetery to provide the live playing <br />of taps for Veterans. <br />>n Presentation - Public Safety Annual Report — Fire Department and Police <br />Department <br />Acting Police Chief Joseph McCann presented the Police Department Annual Report <br />and Fire Chief Tom Hendrix presented the Fire Department Annual Report. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Weed Abatement <br />(1) This was the time and place fixed to consider the Annual Weed Abatement <br />Program. <br />The Mayor declares the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera announced the Affidavit of Publication regarding the Public Hearing <br />was on file in the City Clerk's Office and that no protests or objections were received. <br />Fire Marshall Alan Sork presented a synopsis of the program and informed Council that <br />a Public Hearing is required in order to proceed with the Annual Weed Abatement <br />Program. <br />Motion/second by CM DeLaRosa/Ramos to terminate the Public Hearing. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />(2) Disability Status — Approve and Adopt a Resolution to Request Determination of <br />Disability Status for Former Detective Kenneth Scoff Schiller (deceased), <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-16-03. (Item #9, 3.4.03 agenda) <br />ACTION TO BE TAKEN AFTER CLOSED SESSION <br />ORDINANCE: <br />Second Reading: <br />(3) Waive Full Reading and Pass Second Reading of an Ordinance of the City of <br />Colton Amending the Colton Municipal Code by Adding Chapter 2.17 Creating <br />and Establishing the Office of Finance Director and a Department of Finance for <br />the City of Colton, ORDINANCE NO. 0-01-03. <br />Motion/second by CM Zamora/Ramos to approve Ordinance No. 0-01-03.
