Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Mitchell to approve Consent Calendar Items 1 to 10. Motion carried with Mayor Bennett absent. CONSENT CALENDAR (1) Minutes — Approval of Minutes for the Regular City Council Meeting held on August 19, 2003 and Minutes for the Regular City Council Meeting held on September 2, 2003, on file in the Office of the City Clerk. (2) Warrants — Approved Payable Warrants #59120 to #59430, dated 8/14/03, totaling $1,278,240.02; Payable Warrants #59539 to #59613, dated 8/21/03, totaling $770,540.19, as recommended by the Finance Director, on file in the Finance Department. (3) Personnel/Electric — Approved request for Closed/Promotional Recruitment Ratification of the Full-time Position of Consumer Service Field Representative in the Electric Utility. (4) Personnel/Police — Approved and adopted a resolution requesting to open continuous recruitment and appoint part-time dispatcher positions as needed, RESOLUTION NO. R-98-03. (5) Permit — Approved request for the use of Fleming Park, its band shell and the closure of La Cadena Drive from "O" Street to "D" Street for the Annual Veteran's Day Parade and Program Tuesday, November 11, 2003, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (6) Parcel Map 16267 — Approved and accept the Public Utility Easements (P.U.E.), Drainage Easements (D.E.) and approved the abandonment's as listed on Parcel Map 16267. (7) Claims — Approved denial of claims against the City submitted by Pacific Bell and Robert Hoffman. (8) Facility Use Permit/Calvary Chapel — Approved request by Calvary Chapel for use of Fleming Park & Band Shell on Friday, October 10, 2003. Staff recommends that this approval be contingent upon the group providing a cleaning deposit, and proof of liability insurance to protect the City. (9) Award of Contract/Wondries Ford Fleet Division — Approved and adopted a Resolution to appropriate funds for the purchase of two Ford F150 Trucks for the Police Department's Code Enforcement Division and award the contract to 2003 SEP 16 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING - 4 -
