PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the council: Hewitt"Bill"Smith. <br />Mayor and Council Items: <br />Member Comments: <br />> Acknowledged Police Chief Rulon <br />> West Nile Virus <br />> Sierra Vista Pre -School <br />> Acknowledged Bill Smith, Staff and <br />Concerts in the Park <br />> Anonymous letters <br />> Acknowledged Volunteers <br />> Acknowledged Graffiti removal staff <br />> Acknowledged RDA Staff <br />ACTION ITEM: <br />Extension of Measure I <br />> League of California Cities <br />Workshop <br />> Senator Soto <br />> District 3 Sidewalks, curbs and <br />gutters, street improvements <br />> Spraying starting this week <br />> Goals workshops <br />Approve and Adopt a Resolution in Support of the Extension of Measure I at the November <br />2004 Ballot, RESOLUTION NO. R-86-04. <br />CM Chastain presented for Council consideration and requested approval of staffs <br />recommendation. <br />Motion/second by CM Chastain/De La Rosa to approve and adopt a resolution in support of the <br />extension of Measure 1, Resolution No. R-86-04. Unanimous vote. <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: <br />District 3 — CM Chastain announced that Recreation and Parks Commissioner Taber has <br />moved from District 3 and requested that the commissioner be allowed to continue serving as <br />they still live in the City. No objections from Council. <br />District 4 — CM Ramos announced vacancies in Historic Preservation Commission and the <br />Utilities Commission. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: City Manage <br />City Manager Parrish presented Consent Calendar Items No. (s) 5 thru 14. <br />Discussion by Council and clarification provided by staff with request by CM Hernandez for <br />separate vote on Item 12. <br />Motion/second by CM Chastain/Ramos to approve Consent Calendar Items No. (s) 5 thru 14, <br />pulling Item 12 for separate vote.
