Annexation S-51 <br />Approve and Adopt a Resolution approving the Negotiated Property Tax Revenue to be <br />exchanged between the City of Colton and other Local Agencies, RESOLUTION NO. R-76-04. <br />[Item #8, 716104 agenda] <br />Finance Director De Alwis presented an overview for consideration and requested approval of <br />stafrs recommendation. <br />At 6:32 p.m. CM Mitchell announced that he lives in the area but is more than a mile from the <br />properties in question. City Attorney Derleth explained the requirement. <br />Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Ramos to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-76-04. <br />Motion carried with Mayor Bennett absent. <br />ORDINANCE: <br />Urgency Ordinance Amending Section 6.16.270 of the Colton Municipal Code <br />Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Urgency Ordinance of the City Council of the <br />City of Colton Amending Section 6.16.270 of the Colton Municipal Code to Exempt Birds from <br />the Prohibitions on Dumping Dead Animals in Refuse Receptacles, ORDINANCE NO. 0-27-04. <br />Lt. Coe presented an overview for consideration and requested approval of staffs <br />recommendation. <br />Discussion followed regarding concerns with reporting and disposal of dead crows. Lt. Coe <br />explained that precautionary measures are still taken to dispose of bird however, it did not <br />require reporting. <br />Motion/second by CM Zamora/Ramos to waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of Urgency <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-27-04. Motion carried with Mayor Bennett absent. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the council: Pauline Young. <br />Mayor and Council Items: <br />Nextel Cellular Phone Service, Survey Update and Presentation by Nextel Customer Service <br />Representative (Cellular Telephone PoficK Council Meeting of 514104) <br />Finance Director De Alwis introduced Gayla Sappingfield, Nextel Government Accounts <br />Representative, who provided a PowerPoint presentation that covered the following points: <br />1) City of Colton and Nextel relationship <br />2) Mission in Public Safety <br />3) Proven experience: Nextel supports the Public Sector <br />4) 4inl Solution for Interoperability & Redundancy <br />5) Unique and Reliable National Network <br />6) Reliable Network for Mission Critical Voice Communications. <br />7) Interoperability: Direct Connect, Group Connect, Emergency Group Connect <br />2004 JULY 20 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING -4- <br />
