Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Presentation Mayor Bennett read and presented recognition from Senator Nell <br />Soto for Woman of the Year to Susan Oliva. <br />RECESS: <br />At 6:20 p.m., Mayor Bennett declared a recess for a reception and at 6:34 p.m., the meeting <br />was reconvened with all Members present as heretofore. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />CUA/Award of Bid/Stewart and Stevenson Inc. - Award of Bid for the Repair of Blower Engine <br />#3 at the Colton Water Reclamation Plant to Stewart and Stevenson Inc. for the Wastewater <br />Department in the Amount Not to Exceed $59,017.00. [Item #1, 3/2/04 agenda] <br />City Manager Parrish presented for Council consideration and approval of staff's <br />recommendation. City Attorney Derleth clarified that the type of work to be done is complete <br />overhauling to ensure process reliability. <br />Motion/second by CM Chastain/Ramos. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Specific Plan Amendment <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider continued public hearing from February 17, 2004 <br />and consider a specific plan amendment to amend the text and maps of the Reche Canyon <br />specific plan and a tentative tract map (TT#16249) for a 47 -lot subdivision and two (2) open <br />space lots, and a proposed mitigated negative declaration with a mitigation monitoring and <br />reporting program. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Notice to Continue the Public Hearing was on file in the City Clerk's <br />Office and stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />Mayor Bennett announced that they had received a request to continue this item by the <br />applicant and if no objection by the Council this item will be continued to March 20, 2004. <br />Weed Abatement <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider the city's weed abatement program. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Affidavit of Publication was on file in the City Clerk's Office and <br />stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />Fire Marshall Sork presented for Council consideration and approval of staff's recommendation <br />2004 MAR 16 REG CURDA/CUA MEETING - 3 - <br />
